My wife, Lona and I were attending a T-ball game at Knecht park and as we walk around we saw the plack on the concession stand honoring Jonathan. Our son Kevin Thompson played soccer and basketball, youth superstars and I coached soccer with Gift on year. Jonathan was the smallest player on the field but was the most talented and he was tougher than anyone I had ever met. He had total class on and off the field.

I knew your son from boot camp I remember like it was yesterday him telling me that he wanted to be a pilot and he was joining the infantry then recon to learn all the skills he needed if he ever was shot down, I remember thinking to myself this kid has such an amazing plan.
