Hawker Funeral Home - Blackfoot Obituary

“Love is never wasted, for its value does not rest upon reciprocity.” – CS Lewis

I was born June 25, 1957, the favorite daughter of Lee and Sonja Durney. Growing up, my folks provided my brother Eric, and myself loads of opportunities to try anything and...

Not sure what to say?

You will be missed! ❤

Todd, so sorry to hear. Peace be with you and your family.

When you are 7 and you visit your cousin and she lets you ride in her car hanging out the sunroof you realize how amazing and cool she is. At 14 when you watch her play softball and shoot a game of pool with her you realize how talented and competitive she is. Some of my other cousins may argue their side but she may have been the best athlete in the family. Over the years you get to experience more wonderful moments when you visit your family in Idaho and that is what makes a cousin like...

She touched every life she came into contact with and was constant light in the yoga studio. She will be greatly missed.

Sending love and support to you on angel wings --- although I haven't met Jone, she must have been a joy to be with. Savor your memories. With sincere condolences, In sympathy.

Lee and Sonja, I am so sorry you have lost your precious daughter. I know you cherished the times you got to spend with her and how proud you were of her.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Jone was a beautiful person, inside and out.
I hope her family and friends find peace in the days ahead

Fly high Jone!!!

I went to the yoga class only one time before I moved to another town. Although I was really quite bad at it, Jone still made me feel great about myself. We spoke at length after class about many things. We shared the time we grew up, as I was born 1 month before her and graduated HS only 10 miles away from her in the same year, and we enjoyed the same music. I'm glad we met and had even that short time in the same space.

I’ve known Jone since grade school. I always considered her one of the most talented people I knew, even as a child she could do everything well. My father thought she was a sweetheart and she always held a special place in his heart too. She wrote me the most thoughtful letter at his passing. Typical of her. She is a beautiful, kind and giving person. Our last conversation was bragging about grandchildren. She adored hers!!! She will be missed so much.
