Not sure what to say?

I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to the family of Jonn Lentz. I met Jonn through a mutual friend in Venice Ca. We hit it off right away, both of us having 2 sons.We loved to talk about our kids and cooking. I had the fortunate opportunity to cook with Jonn on a few separate occasions. He was a very good cook. I met Zane only once @Uncle Phil's. I never got to meet Ned, but feel as if I know him from all that Jonn told me of him. He was very proud of his young men.He was to me a dear...

Mr. Lenta, aka "Ned's dad" always welcomed me into their home like I was part of the family. My fondest memory was after junior prom, a group of us went back to the Lentz's house and Mr. Lentz had made an assortment of desserts. He was a wonderful cook. He will be missed.

The Jonn that I remember was a story teller, fly fisherman and artist. All of the qualities that he passed on to Ned.And he could talk like Donald Duck to crack us up,and he did.He is gone but never forgotten by any person that met him. Miss you dad...

John Lentz has always been 'Ned's dad' to myself and the others Ned went to high school with. I remember going to the Lentz home back in the mid 1990's and always receiving a warm welcome from Mr. Lentz. He made his home feel like our home and he is missed.

Mr. Lentz or Ned's dad as he was known to me will be missed. He was one of our Scout parents back when we were kids. He's left behind one of my best friends, who I know will live on to make his father proud.

I never met Jonn, but have heard nothing but amazing stories of him since the day that Zane and I got together. I feel like I get the pleasure seeing him live on in his son. He lives on forever with us in our hearts. We love you Poppy.

Our family has known John since our scouting days. John was a good man and was a valuable asset to the Boy Scout program. We will mss his great smile and good attitude. John and Kate can both be proud of the manner in which they raised their two sons. Zane, Ryan says to say hi. Love to all of you.

My husband and I knew him as Jonno when he and Kate were married and living in Denver. Whenever we could we shared music, food and fun with them. We have a piece of Jonno's artwork -- a truck, and we love it to this day. I am saddened to hear of his passing. Looking at the picture of Jonno, I am reminded what a handsome, talented, fun-loving man he was, and the world is a little sadder because of his passing.

I was blessed to be able to be present as Jonn returned to the river he loved most, the Metolius. Jonn was a good friend and a good man, quick with a smile and a helping hand. The Cream of Mushroom soup he taught me to make draws raves whenever it is served and I always credit Jonn when that happens. He loved life and his sons and he will be missed by all those who knew him.
