Not sure what to say?

Dear uncle Jordan, your love and warmth were overwhelming. I miss you. I have wonderful memories of your visits to us in Holland and being with you in Parma. Talking on the phone or via cassette tapes my dad and you used to send overseas years ago. I am grateful Jelle and I had the opportunity to visit you recently and you could meet our little boy Alex. Uncle Jordan, although we lived far apart, you were always -and will be forever- near. Love, Michelle-Marie

Jordan, dear brother-in-law,

It has been a privilege knowing you. A person of little asking and a lot of giving. Gentle - modest - generous and with a dry humour that could make one laugh.

Jordan loved driving his car. Going to Millersburg he used to take his "famous short-cuts" which, of course, were only an excuse to do more driving! We used to tease him about it.

In1990, on his visit to Holland with Bernice, we took a trip to Czecho-Slowakia (Bohemia). We stood in...

Jordan, we will always remember you.

When I was about 15, almost old enough to understand what the world was all about, my big brother Jordan, as kind as he was, asked me if I would like to join him and some of his friends to journey to Indianapolis for the 1949 Speedway Classic. Boy, was I in seventh heaven! Just a brief anecdote to explain his wonderful understanding and kindness to his family and friends.

Later in life when Ciel and I were raising a family in North Olmsted...

It has been almost one month that he is at peace and we miss him. We talk about him each day and with the house getting cleaned out a lot of memories will still be held dear to our entire family. Peace be with you Jordan. Love, Judy and Carl

It's true that Uncle Jordan is greatly missed, but he was such a wonderful man that it is easy to think of good memories. I often laugh about all the crazy contraptions he put on his little white Nova that he loved so much, and I remember listening to Polka records and dancing around his living room. He is happy and healthy now and watching over us all. We love you, Uncle Jordan.

Knowing that Uncle Jordan is in a better place is harder to accept than I thought. What a gem of a human being. For anyone who wasn't at the funeral, I was fortunate enough to make a goodbye speech. Here it is:Knock-knock. Who’s there? Annie. Annie who? Anybody remember Uncle Jordan’s silly knock-knock jokes or calling him on the phone and him saying “you’re looking good today?” Uncle Jordan had an interesting and often corny sense of humor, but it made you love him all the more. He was a...

Dearest cousin Jordan. I will miss you. I will miss the phone conversations we had and the laughs about our aches and pains as we grew older. I will miss looking forward to - and receiving flowers from you each birthday. Rest in peace, dear Jordan.

Uncle Jordan - we miss you so much and will always remember you fondly - such a kind, generous man with great humour. God Bless - love Leon, Sophie & Luke "The Duke".

Jordan was our next door neighbor of 15 plus years. In those years we will always remember Jordan as a very warm, friendly and pleasant man.

When our kids were small they use to peek over the fence and say hello to Jordan. It would make us laugh as it reminded us of the character Wilson on the old Home Improvement television show.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the family during this time of sorrow.
