Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home - Glen Burnie Obituary

Jordan Allen McDonald, 27, born on October 3, 1996.  He went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 26, 2024.

Jordan is survived by his loving parents the Rev. Kenneth and Kimberly McDonald, his older sisters Brooke Gulvas and Bethany McDonald, nephews Leyton, Noah, Cole and Liam, and his maternal grandmother Carolyn Bulger.  He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ronald and Roberta McDonald and his maternal grandfather Don Bulger.

He was a kind, compassionate and loving young man who cherished his relationships with his family. Jordan enjoyed cruising around in his cars, eating at restaurants, collecting Christmas nutcrackers and stuffed pigs, playing video games, listening to a wide genre of music, making home movies and saying silly random rhyming phrases that brought laughter into the house.   Jordan was a 2018 high school graduate.  Although he was good with technology, his preference was the old school ways.  He referred to himself as an old soul and a lone wolf.  Jordan always maintained a sense of hope throughout the trials of his life. He was special to those who were privileged to know him.

Family and Friends will be received at Trinity United Methodist Church, 122 Grand Avenue Cumberland, MD on Thursday, August 1 from 10:00am - 11:00am.  The funeral service will follow immediately with the Rev. Sarah Schlieckert, Annapolis District Superintendent officiating.  Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Cumberland, MD.

Dear Kim, Kenny, Brooke and Bethany and family, I dis not know Jordan only through pictures but I am sure that Jesus has him and that one day we all will be reunited. Until the day Jesus calls us home, keep the faith and remember at salvation the LORD GOD puts his seal on us and no one can take us out of his hands. am so sorry for your loss

Kim, Ken, and all the family. This is so hard. Our boys had many fun adventures over the years. We are so heartbroken. We loved him very much. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers constantly and we love you.

I remember Jordan as an energetic, curious blond-haired young man who was always on the move. We knew him when we attended Lakeside UMC. He was in elementary school at the time.

At times like these, I feel blessed to have faith, hope and love. That is what I wish for God to surround you with now and in the days and years to come. Karen Surratt and Bill Schweinfurth
