From the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s tributes to those who died in the Oct. 1, 2017 music festival shooting:
Jordan McIldoon of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, was five days shy of his 24th birthday when he was killed in the attack at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival.
His parents Alan and Angela McIldoon, described Jordan as a “compassionate young man” who lived a life “full of adventures” in a statement released to the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Tuesday.
In a Facebook message, Angela McIldoon said they visited Las Vegas every year for NASCAR weekend.
“He loved it here,” she said.

Its heartbreaking to me that gun violence led to your sudden passing at the country music festival. The rampage on October 1, 2017 in Las Vegas truly shocked me.
RIP, Jordan. May your spirit always soar.

Dear Ang, Al, Wee Mammie, Al's family and Amber
There feels like there are no words to say to help you through this devastating loss of your beloved Jordan. Except please know how much you are loved and supported during this sad and difficult time. Your comments and euology of the amazing young man that Jordan was speaks volumes to us all. The immense pain of your lost dreams for the future that Jordan had in front of him, both professionally and with Amber, is indescribable but may...
