Jordan Dana Schepps died on January 22, 2009 at the age of 30. He was born August 9, 1978 in Sacramento, Ca. to Janet and Don Schepps and was the light of my life for his first fifteen years. As a child, he loved looking out of his bedroom window at sunrise pointing and exclaiming "look at the...

Not sure what to say?

Jordan and I were lucky to share a fascination of flying growing up. Our fathers were co-owners of a cessna at Benton. I was a few years older than Jordan but when we were into our teens, we began spending a lot of time together. He was the only good friend I ever had growing up who shared in the fun of flying model aircraft. I'll never forget helping Jordan learn to fly his "Avistar 40"! We would fly behind Grant School and were lucky enough to talk my mother into taking us after school...

I did not know Jordan, but what a great message he leaves behind,My heart goes out to the family and will be in my prayers.

We are saddened to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of need. May time and love heal your hearts.

Dear Don and Bryan,

My dad sent me the sad news of Jordan and I wanted to send my love and condolences.

Hi Don, it’s Josh Oertle. That absolutely breaks my heart. I’m so sad I wasn’t there to try to help. I always wondered what he was doing. He was the best friend a kid could want and we always had a lot of fun. He’ll get the help he needed where he is now.

To Jordan's father and family,
I am very sorry for your loss. You fought the battle with all that you could. May god bless you and comfort you.

When I met Jordan Schepps he was 2 years old. He and his family, Don, Janet and, Bryan had just moved in next door and we invited them over to say Hi! When they came in the door, Carol was vacuuming the rug. Jordan had never met us, but he insisted on taking the vacuum cleaner apart to see how it worked. Fortunately, we were successful in convincing him not to take it apart but it wasn’t an easy task. Remember he was 2 year-old.

That was our first experience with Jordan. Our son...
