Golden Heart
The death of my late Brother in-law Jorge Palmarin inspired me to write this poem.
May 3, 2008
God Only Takes the BEST
God saw that he was getting tired
And a cure was not meant to be

So he put his arms around him
And whispered "come with me"

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer
And watched him fade away

Although we loved him dearly
We could not make him stay

A golden heart stopped beating
And a warm loving...

Thank you my dear family and friends. I know Jorgie is with us always in our hearts. I miss him dearly but I find strength in the love that we shared and the dreams that we had for our son. My son continues with his name and we will continue Jorgie legacy of helping others, living life with dignity and never being afraid to show love.

It makes me proud to share a name with a man so widely loved and obviously so deserving of it.

Dear Ines,

I am just hearing of the loss of Jorge. I cannot find the words to express how I am feeling right now...just know that you and Jorge, Jr. are in my thoughts and prayers. Although Jorge is gone, his spirit, his kindness, his caring and his good work lives on. Peace and blessings to you, my friend. I'll be in touch.

Ines..just a few words to let you know that I am thinking of you and JJ and continue to pray for you all. Please, if there is anything that Eddie and I can do for you just let us know. We love you a lot and Jorge is forever in our hearts and minds. Peace and God bless you.

To Wilson and the family of Jorge,
I was so sad to see Jorgie's obituary and the article about him. I had not seen him since he was a babe but the Palmarin name stood out to me. I was so happy to see he followed in his mom's footsteps and did so much for the community. He sounded like a wonderful man.The community at large will feel this loss. May he rest in peace with his Mami and Papi. May your family that remains find peace in your faith in God! God keep you.
