Jose Refugio Aguilar Jose Refugio Aguilar, 74, born in Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, on July 4, 1933. Married on December 9, 1956, and emigrated from Mexico in 1969 with his six children. He was survived by his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth S. Aguilar; his six children, Evelyn Aguilar, Rogelio Aguilar, Maricella Aguilar, Alma Aguilar, Manuel Aguilar, Jose R. Aguilar; his 15 grandchildren, Cynthia Guerra, Josue R. Aguilar, Jasmine Soto, Crystal Carrasco, Ashley Aguilar, Juan Guerra, Valerie Soto, Zoraima Pelaez, Amber Aguilar, Nohely Pelaez, Adrian Aguilar, Karla Aguilar, Kevin Aguilar, Liza Aguilar, Kimberly Aguilar; his two great-grandchildren, Daniel A. Guerra and Jonathan A. Dunbar; and his three sisters, Pole Aguilar, Mela Aguilar de Muniz and Irma Aguilar. Locally known for his group, Mariachi Potosino, Cuco Aguilar's love and passion for singing will stay with him, his loved ones and those he touched with his music. Visitation 4:00 p.m. and rosary 6:00 p.m., Sunday. Cook-Walden Funeral Home, Lamar location. Services 2:00 p.m., Monday, St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville.

Mari,Jasmine and Valerie,
My sincerest condolences on your loss. I have good memories of Mr.Aguilar. We would laugh and talk everytime we saw each other. He was always happy when I saw him. He will be greatly missed.

Many words to speak about a great man. His love will never stop.
I have known him just a few years, but a lifetime in my soul
and every time I saw him I never thought he'd go.

So many happy times, and so many songs he sung...you were there for my moms birthday.....

So much he will be missed from all his family and friends.

He loved everyone that's here, and some he never met,

A man of patience and kindness, I know we won't forget.

It's hard to say goodbye,
to you I wish I could have said goodbye, but I guess I was too late.

Maybe you are listening to what I have to say....

I'm sure he will be there every night watching over all of us...

Now that it is over,
he has flown to up above,
I know that he will be happy,
with the fulfillment of Gods love.

We let you go, in any way that we can, but please know that you will be missed, because you were a very special man'..
