Jose Alberto Mendes de Almeida, born in Vila Ruiva da Serra, Portugal, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Ana Vale Almeida. The son of the late Jose de Almeida and Maria Emilia Pereira Mendes.
Besides his wife, Jose is survived by his two sons, James Almeida of Johnston and Daniel Almeida of Pawtucket. Three grandchildren, Matthew, Alivia and Nathen Almeida. As well, as two sisters Janja Mendes de Almeida and Amelia Mendes de Almeida Andrade.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to the Funeral Service on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 6:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage St., Pawtucket. Visitation will take place, prior to the Service in the funeral home, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.
