Sorry to hear about the passing of Joe Arenas. I extend my condolences to his immediate and extended family members.

Sending prayers and our sincere condolences to Tanya, Elizabeth, Mary, Johnny, Siver and all Joe´s family. Joe was an outstanding role model and police officer with the McAllen Police Department and he will be missed.

On August 20th, 2021, the McAllen Police Department lost a man who devoted himself to safe guarding those within the City of McAllen while also improving the working benefits for all sworn police personnel. Sgt. Arenas was one of the primary individuals who brought about Civil Service, Collective Bargaining, Improved Pay, Step Pay Levels and Improved Sick & Vacation leave.
