To the Balboa Family,I would like to extend my deepest sympathies on the passing of jose. i first met jose when he was doing his internship at the old belmont hospital.i was just a young kid selling papers in the hospital when i met him he use to buy newspapers from me and we began friends. i later on called on him when he became a ob/gyn and i became a proud parent of a beautiful daughter and son that he delivered for my wife and myself. i will forever be grateful for the the friendship and...

On behalf of myself and the Patterson family, I would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Jose "Rocky" Balboa. I was fortunate enough to have trained with Jose, as we both did our residencies in Ob/Gyn at Mercy from 1976-1980. We had many good times together, and I remember Jose as a kind, thoughtful, hardworking doctor who always put patients first.We spent a lot of time together on the labor line at Mercy during those 4 years, and I have many wonderful memories....
