Dr. Mesa was my ob-gyn for many years. I was very fond of him and am so sorry to hear of his passing. He had such a kind way about him and made me feel that any concern I had was never too small. He listened always and made me feel that I was special to him. The last time I saw him, he told me that he had a new granddaughter named Sydney. That made me happy to know that since that is my name too. I asked him to give little Sydney a kiss for me. He said that he would.

Jose, a true gentleman, was one of my favorite persons. We became fast friends the evening we met. His charm and staunch faith carried us through many a theological debate. I grew greatly in my priesthood knowing this wonderful man. He is greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
