Growing up with the Rivas boys as a neighbor, and Joe being the oldest of us 6 boys hanging around together leaves many happy memories. Joe was a good friend along with his brothers during the mid-fifties when Mission was a small town. I will always cherish and remember him and the fun times we experienced then. He will be missed. My sympathy to the Rivas family and his loved ones.

Joe was a good friend who will be missed by everyone that knew him. We were classmates and long lasting friends. His sense of humor and easy ways always made getting together great fun. We loved him dearly and we will never forget him. May he rest in peace. Our condolences to his family. Mike and Gloria Cavazos.
