Jose Guillermo Sanchez, age 74, of Harlingen, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. He was born August 22, 1948, in Harlingen to Guillermo Sanchez and Maria Cabrera. Jose retired as a fireman with the City of Harlingen after many years of faithful service. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his grandchildren. Jose was a spectacular cook and would not hesitate to cook for his boys and grandchildren. He was a well-known and respected member of the Harlingen community. Jose will be dearly missed.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Maria Sanchez; and siblings, Aurelio Mora, Carmen Gonzales, Wilberto Sanchez, Frank Sanchez, Millie Jasso, and Wilhimina Barrera.


Jose leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, his loving children, Melinda Ann Sanchez, Wilberto Sanchez (Lynda), Jose Guillermo Sanchez (Patricia), and Ricardo Sanchez (Cassandra); grandchildren, Ashlyn and Matthew Rocha, Amanda Sanchez, Sophia Stefan, Lorenzo Sanchez, Andrew Sanchez, Kayleen McCoy, Samuel Sanchez, Arabella and Ariel Sanchez; four great grandchildren, Santiago Martinez, Willow Martinez, Eli Sanchez, and Ethan McCoy; sister, Wilda Cantu; and mother of his children, Noemi Rodriguez.


Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
