Read MoreI would think of Jose often after moving from NJ to SC 6 years ago. I'm sad to hear of his passing, as he was a very kind soul. I always looked forward to making him smile when he and Gloria would visit the hospital. I used to refer to him as My Jose and would always enjoy chatting with both him and Gloria. My deepest condolences to the family.

José will always be in my heart! As a new LPN in 2020 I was extremely fortunate to become José's homecare nurse. In the relatively short time that I knew José we became quite close and good friends. I learned so much from this amazing man who continually challenged my mind, whether it was helping him memorize the periodic table of elements or the 100 most influential people in history. From José I gained appreciation of new music genres and classic singers as Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour....
