I just learned of Herr Wendel passing. I was a student of his at CFHS in the 80's. So many great memories and bless his patience with all us teenagers. What a great man and teacher

Hands down, Dr. Joe Wendel was one of the finest individuals I've ever met. It was a privilege and a blessing to know him, and the world is a diminished place without him in it. He was unfailingly kind and gracious to me and my family, and I will always remember him with the utmost fondness. Rest in God's peace my friend.
