Con una profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Josefina Barcena Marquez el 4 de Febrero de 2024 a los 97 anos en su casa ubicada en Los Angeles California. Ella fallecio pacificamente en su casa rodeada por sus hijos. Ella nacio el 18 de Octubre de 1926 en el Sauz de los Marquez, Jalisco Mexico donde conocio y se caso con Baudelio Barcena. En 1953 se mudaron a Juarez, Mexico donde comenzaron una familia. En 1965 se volvieron a mudar a Tijuana, Baja California. En 1972 se movieron a los estados unidos donde se establecieron en Glendale, California.
Josefina Barcena es viuda de Baudelio Barcena, que fallecio el 15 de Junio del 2004 y la sobreviven sus ocho hijos: Manuel, Adalberto, Rosa, Guadalupe, Leticia, Baudelio, Ramiro y Ricardo. Aparte de ser madre, ella era abuela de 31 nietos, bisabuela de 58 bisnietos y tatarabuela de 4. Todo su vida fue dedicada a sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos. Ella era amada como una madre por sus nietos.
Josefina Barcena, la matriarca de la familia deja un legado largo y profundo. Ella fue admirada, amada, y respetada por su familia que siempre estuvo a su lado. Rodeada por su familia es lo que la hacia feliz. Ella siguira siendo la matriarca de la familia en nuestros corazones. Asi lo uviese querido. Su fallecimiento deja a su familia vacios y tristes. Siempre sera recordada como una mujer protectiva, fuerta, resiliente, consentida y adorada por su familia.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Josefina Barcena Marquez on February 4th, 2024, at 97 years of age in her home located in Los Angeles California. She
departed this earth surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 18, 1926, in a small town, El Sauz de los Marquez, in Jalisco Mexico where she met and married Baudelio Barcena. In 1953 they moved to Juarez, Mexico where they started a family, and in 1965, they moved again to Tijuana, Baja California where their family continued to grow. In 1972 they moved again to California and established residency in Glendale CA.
Josefina Barcena is a widow to Baudelio Barcena, who passed away on June 15, 2004, and is survived by her eight children: Manuel, Adalberto, Rosa, Guadalupe, Leticia, Baudelio, Ramiro, and Ricardo. Apart from being a mother, she was a grandmother to thirty-one grandchildren, fifty-eight great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was loved and adored by all her grandchildren like a mother.
Josefina Barcena is the matriarch of the family and leaves a profound and extended legacy behind. She was admired, loved, and respected by her family who always remained by her side. Always surrounded by family is what made her the happiest. She will always be the matriarch of this family and our hearts and will be remembered as such. She wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Her departure leaves her family with a void and profound sadness. She will always be remembered as a protective, strong, resilient, tenacious, woman who was always loved, adored, and pampered by her family.
Attentively, her sons, daughters, and family extend their infinite gratitude for loving and adoring her.
May she rest in eternal peace.
