Not sure what to say?

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dr. Abrew's passing. He was my childhood dentist and though I have moved out of the area, I have often thought of him over the years. He was such a wonderful dentist. He was gentle, kind and compassionate. My heart goes out to his family.

Roger, we miss you!

Our dear friend Roger will be missed.
Abrew family thank you for letting us
have Roger play with all of his fellow musician friends in Solano County,
Alive Music Orchestra and the Vaca Jazz Society's Jazz Festival for the
past decades.

He was a surrogate father, coach mentor ,dentist, and lead trumpet player for my Alive Music Orchestra.
We all loved him.

He encouraged myself and others to take our AMO music ministry as an outreach performing in...

May you rest in peace, my condolences to the family. You were the best dentist and a wonderful human being.

We will miss you, Dr.Abrew. You were a wonderful dentist and your work will carry on with Dr.Joe. Our prayers are with all of the family and may God's peace cover all.

What a blessing Roger (Mr. A) was in the lives of so many. For the MVA class of 69, he came into our lives our sophomore year. I was his reader for several years, and took attendance in band and geometry. He brought a lot of joy to many through his lively music and wonderful trumpet playing, and above all else, he taught us to believe in the "wonderfulness of ourselves." Rest in peace, dear Roger, and blessings and comfort to those who were dearest to you.

What a shock it was to see Mr. Abrew's obituary in the local paper last Sunday morning! He was the epitome of a vibrant, young and energetic man during the four years he taught at MVA. Every student who attended MVA during this time was touched in some way by this amazing man. He was the quintessential teacher: passionate, energetic and caring. He encouraged ALL, not just some of his students to be the best that they could be. His youthful enthusiasm coupled with an unexpected maturity...

On September 2end I went down to the beach and placed a rose in the ocean spending some time there with my memories and in memory of Roger. People probably wondered why I was smiling at the rose.
Rog was an incredible young man! I have so many treasured memories. Then 16 years ago when my son died Rog came back in my life as a pillar of strength
and supportive friend. He was a blessing to me.
We both really liked this -
"Perhaps they are not really stars in the...

There is not one student from MVA who was not touched by Roger 'Abes' Abrew. His legacy will continue through eternity. I am so sorry for your loss Joseph, Lisa, Diana and Darilyenne. Roger was a man, a man who influenced my life as much as my parents did-he gave me the confidence that I could succeed though college. I owe my accomplishments to my parents and Roger. I admired him because he was a father to several who did not have the ideal home situation.
Eleven years ago after...

Roger was a good friend of my husbands and his brother at GGA and we all played together in Wind Symphonetta at PUC. those were all good days. He was a very talented man and we shall miss his musical talents very much. Our sympathies to his family and loved ones.Pastor and Mrs. Myron Tait and his brother Russell Tait as well.
