Joe was a bright spot in so many lives. I know that I was very surprised and excited that he wanted to run cross country. I was so happy to have the opportunity to coach him. I will never forget the way he loved his teammates and the hard work he put in to make himself better. He was one of those people you will not forget. Joe will always be remembered as a gentleman. Always kind, compassionate, sensitive, and displaying a servant’s heart, Joe watched out for others and cared for the underdog. His sense of humor and genuine good nature were always a blessing.

Joe was a ROTC classmate. He was always full of energy and had a smile on his face. I am thankful I had the opportunity to serve with him.
