Not sure what to say?

Mr Almeida was a favorite instructor of mine at Garland. So many good memories of those days. Class of 1965

Julianna and Joey, I was saddened to read of the passing of your father. I pray the love of God, family, and close friends, will give you comfort and strength in the difficult days ahead. With deepest sympathy,

Growing up in the same neighborhood where Mr. Almedia raised his children, seeing his dedication to his family and his work, I carry the utmost respect for all men of the greatest generation, may peace and comfort find you always.

I taught with Joe many years ago in Rochester, and learned calligraphy from one of his students. He was always full of life, and I enjoyed knowing him.

I was fortunate enough to have Mr. Almeida in middle school. I learned to appreciate and love calligraphy. After many attempts I was rewarded and could not have been more proud that I was a calligraphy wizard. The world has lost an amazing teacher. Rest in peace.

So sorry to read this news Julianna. Very interesting man. My condolences to you and your family.

My sincere sympathy.
Mimi Magruder

So saddened to read this obituary. I have many memories of art class with him. I still have some of my artwork that he helped me create. I always knew him as an art teacher, I never knew any other history of his life. Reach for the stars Mr. Almeida and paint the sky for all of us to see.

Please be advised that due to unsafe weather conditions forecasted for Monday, we have rescheduled the service to be held on Friday, February 13 at 1:00 PM at St. John's Episcopal Church, 101 Chapel Street, Portsmouth, NH. There will be a gathering after the service at Thaxter Hall next to the church. Thank you. Mimi Almeida
