Not sure what to say?

Dad...you will always be my hero. You were a teacher, a storyteller, and a true inspiration. You taught me how to use practical tools from a hand saw to an electric drill. You taught me how to measure, not by appearance, but by the heart. Thank you for everything. Arrivaderci, Papa! Love, Annie..."daughter #2"

We are so sorry to hear about the death of Joe. Joe & Mary were great to Patricia, my wife, and I whenever we would visit the Washington area. We send are best to Angela, Annie and Mary Margaret and their families.
Love Fred & Patricia Amato

I wish a blessed homecoming to Joe this Christmas and peace and comfort to his family. Such a beloved father and respected man. My condolences to the Amato family.

We love and miss both you and Mary. You are in our prayers and hearts forever. Love, Bernadette (Amato), Pete Nielsen, Victoria and Joseph (Farrell).

I miss and love you daddy.

Angela Marie

I love and miss you daddy!

Our prayers, thoughts, and sympathies are with Joe's family. I remember the incredible kindness of Joe and how much he cared about the young men of St Jude's. He was such a role model and I will always be grateful for his generosity to our family.

Another hero of our nation passes. Thank you for your service, sir. I am proud to have you as a relative and for all the times I walked down to your home and you took me in out of the cold and warmed me up for the trip home. Rest well.

Dear Angela Marie, Nick, Annie, Mary Margaret, Mike and children,
What a wonderful gift we were all given to know and love your dear Father and Grandfather. We will always keep the memories of Uncle Joe as a loving and patient gentleman. He is with his love, Aunt Mary, now and surrounded by his dear family. God bless you all in the difficult days ahead. Love, Aunt Margie and Ken Herkimer, Kathy (Amato) and Bill Ross, Jay and Alyssa and Dan Ross
