Not sure what to say?

Joe Amendola was a very dedicated man. And the CIA, thanks to him, became what it is because of what he and others gave to the school.

Thank you Mr Amendola for encouraging me when I was trying to distribute videos made at the CIA. You introduced me to leaders in the Armed Forces who could improve the nutrition of the men and women defending our country. Your influence cannot be overstated and it was world wide. I am very privileged to have known you.

Our condolences to the Amendola family. My father, Jim Cavaiuolo, Sr., & brother, Jim, Jr., knew Mr. Amendola when he taught at the CIA in New Haven, CT. Our family is sorry for your loss & hope good memories bring you comfort.

I met Mr. A through the ACF, and through his kindness, I was able to attend the CIA on scholarship. It was a memorable experience, and one I will always appreciate because of his friendship and generosity. He will be missed by all who knew him; I can't imagine an ACF event without his big smile and joy of living. I'd like his family to know how much he meant to chefs and pastry chefs everywhere--he was inspirational and truly a living role model to us all. With love, Linda Rosner, CEC

Mr. A was my husband's mentor and teacher at CIA, New Haven in 1969-1971. My husband always spoke highly of Mr.A. In fact, he was the one who encouraged my husband to come to Florida to work at Walt Disney World when it opened in 1971. We have been here ever since, raising our family while he worked as chef at various locations..Walt Disney World, Court of Flags, Rodeway Inn, Quality Inn and eventually, our own family sub shops. My husband has Alzheimer's now and has no memory of the past...

A true gentleman and a Culinarian of the highest level. As a fellow ACF member, we shared many thoughts at conventions and regional meetings. I considered him a true mentor in the way he enriched my life with just knowing him.

Dear Jeannie and Mrs. A. We were so sorry to hear about Mr. A. passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

This man will be truly missed. God Blessed our industry through his life and work.

Joe was a special friend and mentor. He always saw life as a true adventure. He seemed to believe in the positive and people. I am very grateful for knowing and sharing food with Joe! He will be greatly missed....
