Not sure what to say?

Joe was a colleague of my father, David Larson, at Martin's, and remained a friend ever after. He taught me how to dunk cookies in milk when I was 5 years old. I have to admit I don't remember it, but Joe did, and he liked to remind me of it, with well-justified pride. I was flattered that he remembered me well enough to correspond a bit after my dad passed in 2015. Peace and love, Joe!

Joe created our altar, ambo and presider chair from our old pews!!! Daily I am grateful for your creative act and prophetic view of God and life! Presente!

I just learned of Joe's passing. I hadn't seen him since he and Cheryl lived in Ojai. He led me to my first job in Architecture after college. He influenced me in researching the family genealogy, as my great grandfather Simon Gless married Juanita Amestoy. God Bless you Joe.

Thanks so much to those who have written something about Joe here! As his daughter, I love to hear how he touched others' lives.

My condolences to the Amestoy family. Joseph was my godfather, but I only knew him in my childhood. What an amazing life. God bless you all. -Andrew Banales, Raleigh NC
