Will be missed at the SCHAEFER Reunions and at the various tennis matches at Comstock Park High School. Over the years, he would visit with some of our players and go over some tennis points. The tennis ideas he had will live on and are still used.

I First met Joseph Appelt when I worked at Grand Bank. I always looked forward to his special visits to the bank. His love for life and nature. Listening to all his special stories. Sharing with me the progress of the gardens, and with it was always a welcome invitation to visit the gardens anytime. Sharing his 90th Birthday party, walking the trails and the beatiful flower gardens at this his home.

Joe was my patient probably about four or so years ago, and I will never forget him. He sent us many cards after the fact, always warm and uplifting. I've wondered about him occasionally. May peace be with you, his family and friends, during this time.
