Not sure what to say?

I was telling a friend about my Godfather, Joe, today. I tried to describe that wonderful feeling that comes from knowing someone is truly delighted to see you. Every time I saw him, without fail, I felt like the most important person in the world. What a privilege to have such a sweet memory. There may be no more generous a gift to recieve than someone's time and attention. He was indeed a shining star in the lives of many. Sending my condolences to the Aquilina family in your time of...

The Dr. Aquilina changed my life. He was wicked smart as a previous person stated. I was having kidney stone after kidney stone and they didn´t know what was causing it. I got an appointment with him and he felt my neck and told me I have a tumor on my thyroid. I had my surgery at U of M and they were amazed that he could feel it in my neck. It was benign and no more kidney stones!

Dear Aquilina family, We are so saddened to learn of Joe´s passing. He was such a wonderful friend to our husband & father, the late Dr. Jack Vincent. He gave hope to our family, during Jack´s illness, when others gave none. Dr. Aquilina was a brilliant & selfless man. May you all find comfort in the days ahead. Gretchen & Caitlin Vincent

Omg. He taught me how to tape a catheter to a leg. Will be so missed

I worked at Mary´s between `85-`88 with him on the medical floor where his urology patients were placed. He was quite a character. I learned a lot from him. He spoke highly most often of Rosie and son Joe. He was so proud. He will be missed I am sure.

I have such respect and fond memories of this most interesting Doc. I worked in the "OLD" Emergency at St. Mary´s Hospital in Saginaw. He was wicked smart, kind, loud, interesting, and he could tell a story. I sure enjoyed the time that I got to know him and assist him in the ER. Rest in Peace! Dr. Aquilina

Joe was my mentor and friend. He was the first surgeon to train me in Saginaw and I learned immediately how a great surgeon worked and how to love life. He showed us how to grab every ounce of joy we can get in this world and the one to come. He was devoted to his family and church. I will never forget him. Love, Ron Bays

Dear Johanna; we are so sorry to read of your beloved husbands' passing. God certainly used him for bettering the lives of others. We so enjoyed the back yard visits on Highland Green many years ago as former neighbors. May our Lord and Savior continue to watch over you and your family. God loves you and so do we, Les and Julie Miller now residing at Hubbard Lake, MI.
