On behalf of the Gotcha Golf League, we offer our sincere condolences to the Assad family. We have missed Joe's smiling face and good humor since he retired from playing golf, but his spirit will forever live in all of us. God Bless.

My deepest condolences to the Assad family.Spent many long nights with Joe in the homicide squad. A great detective. From one sailor to another. May you always have fair winds and a following sea. Joe,you did it all here. Up their you will fit right in.

Rest In Peace Detective Joe Assad. He was a mentor to me when I was a Police Cadet and a young rookie cop. He was a gentle spirit in a tough world. He always had a smile and advice for me. Ill never forget him ... a police legend. To Joes family I send my sincere condolences. Im a better person for having known him in my life.

my deepest sympathy

I only got to work with Joe for a few years. But, I knew him well on account of my dad, Paul. The young cops of my generation looked up to Joe and knew he was a hell of a good cop. He had a great sense of humor too, which is one of the greatest tools God can bestow on a Police Officer. Always loved seeing Joe. He truly cared for his friends.

Joe was the best many fond memories will last for ever

What an amazing man, with such a big heart and great personality. My prayers go out to Joe, and to Mary, Bonnie, Holly and Joe. May your fond memories and expressions of love from friends, family, neighbors and co workers help sustain you during this very sad time.
