Not sure what to say?

My condolences to Dr. Atkins' family. Dr. Atkins was an excellent doctor. I will miss him.

MY HEARFELT SYMAPTHY TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE ATKINS FAMILY.I HAD THE DISTINCT PLEASURE TO WORK WITH A VERY DISTINGUISHED AND SKILLED SURGEON WHILE AT PENN. HOSPITAL FOR 10 YEARS. DR ATKINS ALWAYS HAD TIME FOR PATIENTS,THEIR FAMILIES AND ALSO THE STAFF TO HELP "CURE" ANY OF OUR ENT PROBLEMS. HIS KNOWLEDGE IN HIS FIELD WAS SO APPARENT IN HIS ABILITY TO TEACH AND EXPLAIN ALL FACETS OF ENT TO US. ALTHOUGH HE WILL BE MISSED BY SO MANY,THE MEMORIES OF HIM WILL LIVE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS

My prayers go out to Dr. Atkins family. Dr. Atkins had been treating my husband for his rare type of cancer (ex-pleomorphic adenoma carcinoma) for many year, many surgeries. He was brilliant and we trusted him so much. We will never find a doctor like him. Dr. Atkins, you will be missed!

"I have known Dr. Atkins since I worked in the ER in 1974, with Mary Shields, RN." He later formed the infamous team of Atkins and Keane. They were the best!! He always treated his patient's with the utmost respect, and at that time some of the ER clientle were not
always the "friendliest." About a year ago, I brought my Mom to him and he advised her to "wear her hearing aid, not leave it in the drawer." He will be missed!

I had the good fortune to be a nurse in Dr. Atkins' surgical team at PA. Hospital for 12 years.
The last time I was in his company was Nov. 17th, when he came to visit me in the hospital after the birth of my daughter Bridget.
My maternity leave will soon be over and I am heartbroken to return to the O.R. without him. I will be lost, looking for my friend to walk through the door.
I miss him so much and wish I had just one more moment with him to tell him how much he...

Thanks to all for your beautiful tributes to my beloved older brother, Joe. He was my idol all of my childhood, and soley responsible for my blessed life because he picked out my husband for me.The whole family feels his loss keenly. We share the pain of his wonderful wife, Maureen, and his great kids and grandkids.

I thank you for your experience and wisdom when I graduated from nursing school and had the opportunity to spend my first year in the O.R. with you. I had a wonderful teacher and a fantstic doctor at the same time. After leaving Pennsy the things you taught me were a great help to my career and when I would come back to see you I felt a warmth from you I have never exprienced. I shall think of you often and thank god for you always. My prayers to Mrs. A and the family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Atkins. My condolences to the Atkins family and all the staff at Penns. Hospital. I have been a patient of Dr. Atkins for the past 10 years. It took me many years to find a doctor to handle my rare case and I don't know what I'll do without him. He was a talented and compassionate doctor.
