Not sure what to say?

Mr Aulisi was a very positive influence on the hearts and minds of a lot of Kearny NJ Students and Student Athletes. He was a giant figure in our community and had a heart of gold. He dropped out of high school , enlisted in the USMC , fought in the Second World War. War ends, he comes home from active duty then graduates from High School. He was motivated to join the Corps, because of the influence of Marine Gunnery Sergeant , John Basilone. John Basilone, another NJ native fought in the...

To the family and friends of Joe Aulisi: I knew Joe way back in the forties from Kamp Kiamesha and always had the highest regard for him at that time when he was one of the tent counselors. From the write-up in the Star Ledger, he was in life what he was as a young man--a leader of men.

My thoughts and prayers for the family of Mr. Joe Aulisi. His wonderful sense of humor will be missed. My teaching years at KHS (1985-1998) received an added sparkle, by his gift to make me laugh.

Joe was one of my football coaches in the late 50's and early 60's. I thought he was pretty gruff back then but I'm so pleased our friendship mellowed over the years. He always had a welcome greeting and a kind word. I'll remember him with much respect. My condolences to his family. God bless.

I worked for Joe at KHS from 1989-2001. An absolutely wonderful man who was always smiling at you and talking to you as though he really cared...about you, your life, and your family. He loved KHS athletics and all of the kids. The school will be a very somber place without him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. God bless.

Edy, my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family at the loss of your father and grandfather.

Mr. Aulisi was a great guy, for the 4 years I knew him in High School he was always there at every sporting event, Including the ones I played in. He LOVED to be around Kearny High School Athletics and he wont be forgotten. "Once a Marine, Always a Marine" he used to say when we asked him if he was an ex-Marine.
Great Man to know.
