Exactly 35 years ago today, Major Joe Bailey and I were on the same KC-135 flight crew stationed together at Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base in Central Thailand. We were deployed there as part of Operation Linebacker II, the Christmas bombings of Hanoi that led to the end of the Vietnam conflict and the signing of the Paris Peace Accords.
