I am very sorry to hear that your father has passed away. I have many fond memories of your parents.

Dear John,
You are at the wake as I read this thoughtful obituary and write this note. I didn't know your father beyond cordial hellos, but I see his reflection in you. It is good you were in Chicopee these past few weeks to share moments and dinners and Red Sox games with your dad...and to comfort him these last days... Please accept my sincere condolences.

I just read Joe's obituary and was not surprised to see that he was a very honorable wonderful man. My mother, Arlene, joined Landmark in Feb. and Joe was a huge help with her adjustment. He sat with the ladies in a very quiet pleasant manner. Joe was very patient with the women's chatter and listening to them repeat their stories.
I did learn Joe loved to golf and joked with him that I would be willing to throw him over the fence to hit a few balls at the club next to Landmark.

My deepest sympathy goes out to all of the Bak family, especially to John, who I got to know. Joe was a wonderful man, with that devilish smile that he always seemed to give me. I was the first aide that he met at Landmark and he occasionally mentioned that to me. He was a wonderful man, who really cared about the other residents in the facility. He was a pleasure to know and will be deeply missed. Onward now to his new "journey" to the stars and planets!!!!! Thanks John for making sure...

I am very sorry for your loss. As a youngster, I remember you father very well. He was very enthusiastic and competitive. I remember many evenings of Ping Pong in the cellar and of course golf. I learned to play and enjoy the game of golf with you and your father. I still enjoy it, to this day. I remember that he would spend his time, carting us all to the local golf courses, immediately after he got out of work at Worthington Pump. He hoped that we could get in 18, before...
