Not sure what to say?

A good friend. Think of him often. Miss him a lot.

Dear Cathie and all of Joe's family, I am saddened to hear the news of your loss. We Spiering cousins called him "Jojo" and in childhood years, we saw him and the family sporadically; however, there was always great delight in our gatherings, fed by those fun-loving Bakers! I am sorry and I pray for your heart's peace and comfort.

Hello to all of Joe's family! My heart goes out to you in the loss of Jo Jo. I remember him as an energetic, determined cousin with a sense of humor too. With prayers for you. Sr. Joan Spiering

Prior to the pandemic, Joe and Cathie visited us in the desert most years. The thing I always appreciated about Joe was his curiosity about everything. He asked lots of questions and we had some great discussions. One time while sitting on the deck, we heard a bird calling his mate; Joe spent the next 15 minutes recording the call and trying to figure out what bird it was using his phone. And he got it! He will be missed. Love to my good friend, Cathie, and the Baker family.

I remember Joe, He was in the same grades with brother Joe Schwalb. My sister and I went to school with his sister Kathie. I know he will be missed. RIP Joe. Elaine (Schwalb) Baxter

Memories will be with with us forever.

Found a pic of JoJo at the Baker Reunion from July 2013. Not sure if anyone got locked in the Porta-Potty that trip! JoJo was an older cousin to me but always made a point to spend time with us kids when we visited, definitely someone I looked up to.

Joe was a very kind man and cousin we all looked up to. Love and care to Cathie and all the Bakers. Anne Krajcovic
