Pete and I met at a Ballenger-McCully family reunion about 20 years ago or more. I was living in Los Angeles and had done some genealogical research and managed to find him. He invited me to an upcoming family reunion and my daughter and I went. Pete and I hit it off and he showed me a lot of places in Kansas that our Ballenger family had been associated with. I will miss him a lot, but I know that he will be happier now that he is with Janice.
