Im a Baratta and only met Joe a couple times. Joe was my grandfathers brother. God bless his family and friends.

I am just finding out about the death of Joseph . I havent seen him since 1974. He was a kind and generous man. I enjoyed working in his gyms. Peace be with the family . Sincerely , Pam Polston ❤

Hi Jill: Back in 1970 I worked for Joe at the European Health Spa on Howe Ave. Both Joe and Yourself were always an inspiration to me. I know one thing your husband was crazy about you and for good reason. I hope this note finds you in good health. May God Bless and keep you well. Ed and I as are Steve and Mike very saddened by the death of Joseph, the kindest, funniest, down to earth gentleman we have ever known. We so loved him and we often talk about times together in Sacramento, England, Germany. We had some terrific times with his wife Jill and children Lyn, Jeff and Joey.
What a huge loss to his family, friends and the world.

I worked in the Florin Road Health Spa for 8 years...Spa Formula Cosmetics, he allowed into his spa...Even though my commission came from the cosmetic company, I enjoyed being there..he was a nice man and God rest his sole...

Just want you to know that Helen has kept me updated about your struggles. I know just how you feel since I just lost George. It is so lonely without him and I know I will have to make a new life for myself, but it will be hard. He was such a great guy and we had some wonderful times.

My hugs go out to you, as I know it has been a long trip for you and your family.

I remember Joe winning the Mr. California over 40 in San Francisco... I was there, competing in the teen age division at the time.. He had a very impressive, inspirational physique!! .. I actually worked at his Bakersfield gym in the 70's for a short time when Dominick was managing it; I only met Joe briefly.. I now own Strength & Health Gym in Bakersfield.. Mark P.
