I learned about Joe's passing today. Joe was really a nice man and I enjoyed talking with him and his wife Pat. Joe inspired me in obtaining good health and to pursue doctoral studies in health and nutrition. Thank you, Joe!!!

I am so sorry for your loss Pat and family. So sorry for the lateness of this message. I'm saddned by passing of Joe. I worked at bassetts for about 3years and I'm quite sure I learned more in that time than all of my years in school. Joe and Pat were always teaching. Always very giving. Never to busy to answer a question. Healing minds as well as healing hands. The most important people I knew in my life then and now. I won't soon forget all the sincere love and care they gave to me as a...

Mr. Bassett was a friend of my father, Glenn R. Brooks, from high school on. Joe and his brothers were a great group to be around with loud laughter and wild stories. Loved to watch Joe & his wife dance at the weddings :) I can hear him & my dad reliving stories of yesterday up in heaven. May you find comfort knowing he is at peace.

I never had a long time to get to know Joe but the time we did share was enough to show me what a wonderful man hes was and how very, much he loved his wife Pat, God bless you and your children Pat i am so sorry for your loss!

Joe Bassett was indeed a classic medicine man, in the tradition of the better spirits from our past. His knowledge, inspiration, and care (along with his daughter Charmaine) extended the hope and life of my brother Gerald, who himself was an immensely private man. My brother loved Joe. Now he can tell him so, again.

I got to know Joe Bassett through badminton at the University of Toledo back in the 80's and missed not playing with the group when I left Toledo after graduation. Joe was always nice, had that great smile, and loved to compete. We often played doubles together and he was so helpful to me as “the new kid”. Sad to hear the news of his passing. What a neat guy. God bless to his family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Bassett once and found him to be very personable. Many has said very positive words of Mr. Bassett...he must be very special and blessed. Charmaine, you are a spitting image of your father. My condolences to all of you.

This candle represents the light that shown in Joe's eyes when he entered a room with his quick smile, the song that was in his heart and voice, and knowledge he was so willing and able to share at all times. You knew and felt his love for wanting the best health for everyone. The beauty of Joe's life is the legacy he is leaving for the world to benefit. He will live on through his family who continues the light for all of us who have benefited and will benefit from his love of natural...

Joe Basset (Uncle Joe to me) was kind, smart, passionate, and a wonderful person. Anybody who knew him was touched by him and I've been lucky enough to know him for a lifetime. Although we will all miss him, his legacy lives on through all that he has done and those that he has helped.
