Not sure what to say?

Dr. Beasley was my principal, advisor and champion while I attended Ravenscroft. I did not "fit" there. We discussed it multiple times -- because he thought that I should and hoped that I would. When I made the decision to apply to boarding schools, he wrote my recommendations and called on my behalf. I found a place where I "fit" thanks to him. What an awesome educator who put the interest of the student front and center. I am very grateful. Thank you.

I remember him as such a nice man ... rest in peace Dr Beasley!

Dr. Beasley formed the bookends to my high school experience at Ravenscroft. As a senior I had the pleasure of taking his AP European history course. Dr. Beasley LOVED to tell stories about his experience growing up in Randleman, his time at Chapel Hill as a student (I believe his father paid for one semester, because he thought he wouldn't make it) and then as a golfer who fraternized with the academic and sports upper echelon, and his incredible career in the military. His AP European...

Dr. Beasley was a wonderful upper school director, teacher, and mentor. He was an honorable man. For those in his AP European History class, we will never forget the date of the French Revolution (1789), which he frequently bellowed out in class while scribbling the important date on the chalk board. He taught Ethics when ethics, honesty, and morality were still qualities that were associated with leadership. He had a great sense of humor, a sense of fairness, and led our Upper School with a...

Ravenscroft School has been blessed with many dedicated teachers, working staff and volunteers over the years. I never personally knew Mr. Beasley, but know of his leadership, with our boys attending Ravenscroft just after he retired. Our family and boys benefited from his leadership and inspired us to continue to support the school! His values and spirit will hopefully be remembered for ages!

l didn't have him as a teacher but I was in high school in his final years at Ravenscroft. He's one of those people you just never forget. He left an impression on me. I enjoyed reading his obit and learning more about him as a person. I am sorry for your loss.

I joined Ravenscroft in 1990 and made instant friends with Joe. I looked forward to our weekly admin team meetings to hear Joe´s wisdom, wit, stories, and smarts. He made beginning the week fun. Our friendship lived decades beyond Ravenscroft. Periodic lunches with Ned and Rebecca brought us all much joy through his 90th and beyond. Having just spoken to him a week ago, I feel blessed to have had him in my life. I miss him already. Lots of love to Ann and Byron and his family.
