I'm so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. We worked together at Southwest Steel, then Armco, and I wound up working for him for a short period b/4 changing departments. He was a good guy that we all liked.

Joe was the model for a 'big brother' in the last half of the 1950s when he was our neighbor. His little brother and my friend, Dave was the best baseball player in our back-yard games. The family, to us, was an inspiration with mom, Frances, presenting elegance to a working class neighborhood, dad, Foy, a talented carpenter and involved father, sister Kathy displaying that 50s spirit of nice girls. Joe was the quintessential big brother and we admired him greatly and salute him on his way...
