Not sure what to say?

Mr Bennett was my all-time favorite teacher! He taught me both in 7th and 9th grades, between September 1972 & June 1975. He had a way of making each of his students feel as if they were his favorite. He had a gift for helping EVERY student learn math. I am so grateful for his influence and friendship. He made me feel like I was his friend when he came to my wedding reception. I brought my son with me to visit him at Hillside the day before we moved to California. That was 31 years ago! ...

STILL MY FAVORITE 7TH GRADE TEACHER AND MOST FUN DRIVER TO BRIGHTON SKI RESORT. I LOVE THIS MAN....

Ms. Bennett was a dedicated teacher who related well to students. He was a positive influence in many lives.

Mr Bennett was an amazing teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Sincerely Linda Fritsch Bain

I was one of Mr. Bennett's remedial math students at Hillside Jr. High. Every morning before school began, he would answer my questions and provide much needed encouragement so that I might progress to the next level. I do not believe that I would have ever been able to move on to complete graduate school had it not been for his dedication. Thank you Mr. Bennett, from your srudent Nancy Tannenbaum.

I know it says he taught math - but I swear he was my 7th grade Science/Health teacher at Hillside Jr. High. I still remember all the bones of my body - because he made learning so exciting and wonderful and he was so proud of each of us. Also, I rode on his bus trips to ski at Brighton. Funnest trips in the whole world. I loved that man and could tell he loved each of us. I look back now at the respect he showed each of us and earned that respect in return. I ran across this looking for...

He was a wonderful teacher at Hillside Junior High. I had him as my home room accelerated math teacher in the 7th grade and I still remember many of the algebra principles that he taught us at that time. He leaves a great legacy. My condolences.

May your family find peace in his absence. We all have fond and loving memories of him! Now the entire family is reunited again.

It has been many, many years since I have seen my Uncle Joe, but I have always considered him my favorite Uncle. As a young girl, he would toss me in the air and was always so friendly and fun to be around. We played horse shoes out at the Wright cabin. I have nothing but fond memories of Uncle Joe.
