Not sure what to say?

Joe,
I was saddened to read of your passing. I too remember the great times we had in high school. in fact, Joe,you were instrumental in me meeting Marilee. The three of us were in choir together and you were the driver for us to meet for an early Saturday practice session with Mr. Heick.
In 1975, I was on the east coast for a few weeks. you were kind enough to allow me to stay with you for a few days.
I will think of you and am grateful for our friendship.

Lincoln Watson

Joe was than and is now a great friend. Joe and Jan made me a god father to their first child. My 4 years at Jackson and the 40 years after wouldn't be the same had Joe and I not hooked up as friends. His spirit to make the football team every year was an inspiration to all of us.

one of my best buddies at "Jackson". my sympathies to your family.

Joey as part of the gang in high school we had some great times. Wouldn't trade them for anything. You will be missed. Hugs

Although in recent year we had lost contact I owe Joe much for inspiration and guidance he gave me. Our friendship begin in the mid 60s. We met when I was in 5th or 6th grade and was at Wilson High in a summer sports program. We were at the pool in the intermediate swimmers class when Joe gave me that big smile and started a conversation as if we had known each other forever.
I soon learned that to get to his home all you had to do was go up the route and at Handy Andy's Auto Repair,...

I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. (Isaiah 61:1,2) With heartfelt sympathy.

Joe ("Squatty Body") was on the Jackson High wrestling team with me. I usually was able to hold my own against Joe, until his girl-friend came into the practice room, and then he pinned me every time!

We also had choir and Boy Scouts in common. We had some great times together in the years we were high school together.

Unfortunately life took us on different paths and only recently, via Facebook, have we been able to reconnect.

We will miss you Joe!

The good memories I have with Joe will always be with me. He was a good friend and I will miss him

I was a classmate with Joe's brother Jim.
I remember Joe as a man with a great sense of humor. Fun to be around. I hope to be at the service.
