Joseph J. Bernat, Jr

Westmont - Age 75 years, passed away on January 24, 2018. Beloved son of the late Joseph J. Bernat, Sr. and Althea (Vicky). Dear brother of Robert T. Bernat (Brenda). Loving Uncle of Deanne Conners (nee Bernat) and her sons Austin, Ryan, Devin and Collin Schufreider. Also of Lorine Creedon (nee Bernat) and her sons Andrew and Jacob Creedon. Great great Uncle to Landon Schufreider. Will be dearly missed by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins including Linda Pierson and Marybeth Leps.

Joseph served in the U.S. military, was a long time supermarket produce manager, loved sports (especially football) and was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan.

As per the wishes of the deceased, there will be no funeral or memorial services and will be cremated

We won the Superbowl Uncle Joe!! Somehow I know you know!! And Happy belated 76th birthday to you as well!! You were the best Uncle a niece could ever ask for and I love and miss you dearly!! Thank you to those of you who left kind words and messages here! Enjoyed reading them!! He did indeed love the racetrack and of course can't forget Connie Francis which he also adored!!

We both new Joe from the late sixties. He was our neighbor here on the same floor since 1978. Besides being a huge Eagles fan, Joe and I (Dan) were both fans of horse racing. We really had some good times at the old Garden State Racetrack even when we lost.

I have known Joe for over 29 years. He was a dear friend and I will never forget all the great times the "four musketeers" (Joe, Jack, Marcia and myself) shared in Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey. From a fateful meeting at a Connie Francis concert, we became steadfast friends. I will miss our phone calls and all the good times we shared; I will hold those memories in my heart forever.
