Not sure what to say?

Joe Bijak was a Wonderful and Generous person!!

I heard about Joe’s passing today from St.John’s today. There were very few freshmen from Illinois at SJU in 1963. Joe and me one of about 10 Illinoisans. I think that the last time I saw Joe was at homecoming in 1966. I am glad to know he had a great loving family and if he was smiling most of the time he had a pretty good life. I am sorry for your loss but his spirit remains strong in your memories of him.

I don’t think I ever saw this man without a smile on his face!

Uncle Joe was more than an uncle to me he was a friend. He was always willing to be a taste tester on new recipes and give me feedback. I will miss our monthly conversations and the visits when I came home. I will continue to brag about the war hero, Uncle, and friend. He will be remembered forever.

Joseph... Capt. Bijak, My buddy, My pal. I thought you'd love forever. Going to miss you, but I will always remember you. The Big guy, with even a bigger heart. Semper Fi Marine

Such a shock to hear this news, but I know that God had/has a plan! Your eyes, your smile, your power, your stubbornness, your fast driving, your time here for us to hold onto so many memories.........none will be forgotten, only remembered and cherished!
Fist comes the blow of death, afterwards the bruises that never seem to heal! We love you Uncle Joe, May God wrap you in his arms and hold you Gently showing you amazing unconditional love and peace of mind and heart! God bless your...
