Not sure what to say?

Dear, Grampy,
I never knew what you were like. Nor did I ever get to meet you. But I still love you, a lot. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if you went on trips with Baba, Jeffrey, Joey, and me when we sleepover at babas. I personally think that it would be even MORE fun than it already is! We would have the best time. Sometimes, when Daddy hugs us he says it's a "Grampy Hug"! He hugs us super duper tight! I can only imagine what it would be like to hug you too! It would...

Dear Eva and Family,
Having just learned of Joe's passing, I can tell you I just sat here in total disbelief. So many have told you what a wonderful person Joe was.... Please understand that every word is true. I went to WHHS and graduated with Joe. We had several classes together but my favorite memory is of choir. I remember specificly when Joe, Jimmy Clyde, Sharon deBoves Barkanic and I were singing together and totally believed we were the next Mama's and Papa's group. "Monday,...

To the Billig Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Billig was a great man and I will always remember him as a teacher and a friend from our days playing youth sports for the NYAA. Mr. Billig had an influence on so many of us growing up and will be missed.

To the Billig Family:
When I heard of Joe's passing, I didn't feel that Ralph was strong enough to hear of this news. Little did we know that he would make the same journey four days later. We think of Joe fondly and firmly believe that Ralph and Joe are up there raising a ruckus. Imagine that!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

To Joe's family,
I'm finding it very difficult to put into words the hurt I feel from the tragic loss of your husband and father. His sense of humor and kindness to all are just two of his virtues I'll never forget. I have a greeting card that describes how Joe affected me: "One day the world stopped, and you got on."

Eva, Joe Brian & Jeff,

It is with heavy heart that I offer your family my deepest sympathy in the loss of a good friend, classmate and a wonderful person. I will always remember the great memories of going to school with Joe and the last time we talked when the "class" met up at my restaurant, "Hello Again". I lost my father on Christmas Eve many years ago and Joe knew him as my dad worked at West Hazleton High School. I know what it is like as I go to church and shed tears...

To the Billig Family;

I have known Joe as a neighbor for over 25 years. It has been my good fortune to cross paths with such a fine man, father and husband. He has taught me so much about life. I wish all of you comfort in this difficult time. Please know you are in my prayers. Eva, you can be proud of the sons you raised. They are awsesome.

Carla

Dear Billig Family, Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Joe and I went to school together from 1962-66 but had lost touch with each other over the ensuing years. I had the opportunity to talk with him by email a few months back and it was like 40 years stood still. Joe always managed to bring a smile to everyone's face no matter what the adversity. He will be truly missed but you can be assured he is bringing smiles to the faces he meets in heaven.
