I went to school for a few years (at Quaboag Elementary School...) with Bob Bird, but I doubt that he will remember me. My family moved to Monson, soon after that. MANY times, while my father and brother and I were trapping, fishing, or hunting, we would run into "Warden Joe". My sympathy to all of Joe's family. I didn't know Joe but I knew his father also named Joe. My uncle Ed Breen was a police reporter for the Telegram & Gazette and was friends with the elder Joe who was a Sgt. with the Worcester Police Dept. I have many good memories of with Joe's parents. I'm sorry I never got to meet Joe. bit if he was anything like his father, I'm sure he was a wonderful man.
