Not sure what to say?

To the family of Joe Biro,

Laura and I have been neighbors of Joe and Janet for 30 yrs. We were sad when Janet passed away last year and now Joe has left us also. I remember meeting Joe and Janet for the first time back in the early 80’s after they moved in across the street. I was doing some renovation to the homestead when he and Janet stopped by to chat; and what a chat it was, for Joe and I found we had many things in common. We both were Lafayette alumnae, both were engineers...

To the four Biro children, especially Kim and our two nieces, Karen and Megan,

We extend our heartfelt sympathies at this time. We received the news while on a West Coast trip and just returned. We wish we could be with you but are comforted that you are with each other.

Our fondest memories of Joe and Janet occurred during the time we lived in Annapolis from 1971 - 1974 and David was one of the Academy's ocean racing coaches. For the awards banquets at the Miles...

To the family of Joe Biro,
I never knew his name until now. I attend the YMCA water workouts and was in the class which meets ahead of his. When he was waiting for his class and I was leaving we started up a little game and I would throw him my water bar bells and he would place them in the bin for me. Sometimes one of us would miss and we would joke about who needed some more practice. I could tell he was a very nice, gentle person. We last played our game on May 7. I missed him on...

To all who have left us messages, thank you so much for the kind words and thoughtfulness. It really does help. All four kids are here now, from Bethlehem, Akron, OH, Nova Scotia, and Japan. We have shared tears, but mostly laughs remembering Dad. We are genuinely touched by your entries to Dad's guest book

thank you

I enjoyed many times with Joe and have many fine memories. One of the greatest times we shared was in Maryland, sailing and enjoying crabs. We had a lot of laughs and fun though the years and I will always remember him fondly.

To the Biro Family: Please accept my sympathy and warm regards.

It is the fairytale we all read about...
Their story started when Joe decided to go AWOL for the weekend with Janet. He shared this eventful time of their life with me as joyous smiles uncontrollably took over his face. Their love evolved in a world and time which needed a love like theirs. Having so much in life, in family, in careers, and mostly within each other... You gave so many of us hope for a love like yours. I recall a fond memory I had in witnessing your...

Kim, so sorry to hear about the death of your father. You no doubt are being comforted greatly by family and friends at this time.

You and I knew each other from school (we're going back a lot of years here!) -- from Beth Twsp originally and had been in touch before because of the loss of your mother as well. Feel free to email me back if you like.

Joe and I had many years of a close relationship both in engineering and socially. Our time togrther sailing, golfing on four well known courses with two other friends for may years, as well as personal time, will be long term memories.
