DEBBIE & JOE SUMMER 2003

Joe, miss you man

Sadly, I know Joe only through the stories regaled by my brother, Greg, and the many DKEs I was honored to call my friends from the college years until present. I know from the love of his DKE brothers and scores of friends that Joe was an amazing man - kind, gentle, hilarious, generous, and loving - a man who was looked up to and admired by all. It pains me tremendously that I never got to know him personally, for it seems that men like him but seldom come into our lives and touch us so...

I am terribly saddened by this news. Joe was my best friend at the tender age of nine, and I just loved all the times we spent together.

I thought about him often even after I departed to other schools, and I was thrilled when he wrote me a couple years ago. I am so thankful that I got a chance to communicate with him before he left us, but even sadder that I won't have the opportunity to catch up in person as he invited me to.

I wish to thank him for his companionship...

I am a DKE brother who only knew Joe briefly. He visited my home in Easton for homecoming many years ago and I enjoyed meeting him again. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers to you all.
