Dr. Blumel was a fantastic teacher who inspired me to major in Economics. It seems only like yesterday that I was meeting with him for my one-on-one seminar in International Economic Development. He taught one of the most feared subjects, Economic Theory, and did the impossible: he made it understandable as well as interesting.
