Not sure what to say?

Used to work with Joe at NY DSS. Great guy. You will be greatly missed.

Uncle Joe was the most amazing, selfless, strong person to ever walk the face of the earth. He constantly did anything and everything he could to make sure the people around him, anyone, complete strangers, we´re comfortable and always felt at home. Constantly put everyone before himself because he had so much love to give. What you would call a saint, only one I´ve ever met. He made every second with him feel special, hands down my favorite person to ever exist. I hope he knows that.

To Pat and family, my condolences to all of you, losing a brother is losing a dear friend. Yours, Donna Sawyer

Our deepest sympathies to Betsy and all of the Boland family. We never met Uncle Joe but have heard the most amazing stories of the wonderful Uncle he was and always will be remembered for. What an impact dear Joe had on all who knew him. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. Elizabeth McCarthy & Family (Dublin, Ireland)

Patsy, Mary and Hank, I am so sorry to hear about Joey. He was a great guy with a keen sense of humor and kind heart. I remember fun times we had with the Hannan's and your family at Sacandaga. Joey threw some great parties at 216 Third Street. Cherish your memories. May he rest in Peace.

Single Memorial Tree

Joe was always considerate of me despite our political disagreements, and generously shared his interest in our family's genealogy. I'm sorry to hear of his sudden passing. My thoughts and condolences are with Patsy, Mary, Hank, and everyone who knew and loved Joe. "Love is how you stay alive, even after you are gone."

I will sorely miss you but know God has taken and embraced you. You were a great "big brother" to me when I pledged KSK, a mentor, a college buddy and a "gold" friend. Rest in Peace. My condolences to the family for their loss. george
