Joseph G. Bolek

I was in Mr. Bolek's first class back in 1955 at Roosevelt Grammar School. I was going into sixth grade into our brand new school building which replaced three turn of the century buildings whose time had long past. Mr Bolek turned out to be my all time favorite teacher. He made school fun and interesting. He was a strict disciplinarian but was very fair to all of us students. He was a very positive influence on my eleven year old life and, to this day, feel I am a better person as a result...

I would like to send my sympathy to his family. I had Mr. Bolek for my 8th grade teacher back in 1967. He was very nice & always interesting. I just had to let you know that he made an impression with me still after all these years. Rest in peace.
