Not sure what to say?

On behalf of the children and staff here at the Walter Lawson Children's Home, we would like to offer our condolences to the family of Dr. Joseph Bona. Dr. Bona was a very special member of our "Walter Lawson Family" and for many years he cared for and loved our children as if they were his own. We will miss him dearly.

Goodbye Dr. Bona, You were my doctor so many years ago. I'm now 50. You were able to calm my fears as a child going to the doctor. I feel I was blessed to have you as a doctor. Thank you for being there.

I still have all the papers Dr Bona gave me when I took my baby (now 34) to him and I looked back on them when our first grandbaby was born. He was a very special man. Kids knew he loved them. God be with your family and close friends.

Goodbye, Dr. Bona! You were my physician from early childhood and always showed great humor over my, shall we say, 'uncooperativeness' when I was a young boy. And you took good care of me through my high school years in the 'purple palace'. And now I'm 60 and fit as a fiddle, thanks to you! You were great and your family must be proud.

To Dr. Nick, Rose & family,
Our deepest condolences to you. God bless you and your loved ones.

You were my 2 brother's and my pediatrician. My first memories are of you! You will be sorely missed. You were a great help to my family and we will all surely miss you!
God bless!!!

Dr. Bona was an absolutely wonderul pediatrician. I first met him in 1970 when our son was born. As a first time Mother I called on Dr. Bona for "help" more than once. He always told me that there was no such thing as a dumb question when I would call him regarding my "baby". I thought the world of this wonderful man and doctor!! He ALWAYS had time for his patients. He touched many lives and will be missed greatly.
Over the years I have run into him several times and he always...

dr bona will be greatly missed he cared for me and my brothers an sisters then my children he was a wonderful caring person more like a friend

To the family of Dr. Bona,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. What a doctor he was! My mother (Evelyn Tanrath) was his bookkeeper for many years when he had his office at the Professional Building, otherwise known as "The Purple Palace." I remember talking to him many times and as a youngster helping my mom stuff statements in the envelopes at the end of the month to help out. I think she paid me a penny per envelope. We had some good times during those years with "Dr. Joe".
