Not sure what to say?

So sorry for your loss. I met Joe once at the memorial ceremony for Joseph Vanasky Jr. Motor Machinist's Mate Second Class and his Ship the USS Osprey that was sweeping the English Channel for German mines. The ship hit a mine and sunk on June 5 1944. My connection to this World War 2 event is my Dad Radarman Second Class Francis T Albaugh was a survivor of the sinking of the USS Osprey. Dad never shared much about the war till Judy Stewart and Joseph Boyle reached out to my Dad in his...

Mr. Boyle was my teacher, he was my favorite. He made me want to go to school just for his class. He really opened an interest up inside of me when it came to history and how he explained it. I'm really grateful that i had him as a teacher and i appreciated him while he was here. I remember telling him happy thanksgiving break, without realizing that was the last time i would see or speak to him. He helped me out when it came to wanting to enlist. He was in the coast guard and he was helping...

It was because of Joe reaching out to me that I became involved with the church retreat team. His courage and humor will always be an inspiration to me. My prayers for peace and comfort go out to his family. He was a shining light and will now be shining that light down on all of us.

I´m a student of Mr. Boyle´s from Bowsher HighSchool and I can say without a doubt he was the absolute best teacher I´ve ever had. He was so enthusiastic and cared so much about his job and his class won´t be the same without him. Rest in peace Mr. Boyle.

Waite will never be the same, but Joe will ALWAYS be remembered.

I will always remember Joe´s smile and his beautiful spirit. He made my day each time I saw him over the years. My deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.

There are too many memories to share just one. I'll never forget how we connected when we were both walking into the old Rogers and he said "I wondered who had all of those Otsego Knights decals on their car!" and that started our friendship, with a simple connection through Grand Rapids, the Knights, and how we both had become Rams. We also had surgery the same month in 2011. I remember feeling sad that I hadn't been there for him and he felt bad because he was dealing with his own...
